Blackberry banana smoothie
This vibrant blackberry banana smoothie is delicious with milk or a dairy free alternative as a great way to get a serve of fruit, fibre and colour into your morning.
Blackberries are a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants with wild berries always tasting the sweetest.
Just remember to wash freshly picked berries well to avoid any unwanted creepie-crawlies.
Blackberry banana smoothie
(Makes 1)
Ingredients
1 Banana (ideally frozen and cut into chunks)
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
1 tsp honey
1/4 cup oats
1 cup cold milk
Serve protein powder (optional)
Method
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for 2 minutes until well combined.
Serve immediately
